I bought my first classic car to restore 7 years ago on an online auction. The experience of spending the next year hunting for parts and people who were experienced was a real joy. I enjoyed it so much I bought another project, this time a barn find TVR. Then, after doing that, I was addicted, and it went on and now its project 16 and growing. My fascination with vintage cars originates from cherished memories of assisting a neighbour in Scotland in restoring a Alfa Romeo Alfasud when I was merely 10 years old back in the 80’s. This fondness continued to blossom over time. During my career as a press photographer working for The Guardian and Getty Images cars always held a prominent place, leading friends to inquire, "What you got now ?" It was this fusion of classic cars and multimedia narrative that motivated the creation of Smaêrt Classics. My objective is to transform the classic car purchasing experience by providing a comprehensive view of the restoration journey, guaranteeing transparency at every phase and a simple means to acquire revitalized classic vehicles.
