Ford XR3i Part 3

Sunroofs are a fabulous addition to any classic car, providing a touch of open-air driving without sacrificing the classic look. Whether you're cruising on a sunny day or admiring the starlit sky at night, a sunroof can enhance your driving experience…. unless it knackered and leeks and rust falls in your eyes when you go over a bump, which is every 5 seconds in London !!! . So where do i start. I took the sunroof off which was a day’s work because the rust had taken over and all the rusty parts that had come off the sunroof had rolled down the roof so there were parts of the sunroof kicking around in the space between the lining and the roof. I got a air blower in there and got the rust out, another dirty job. I did find one pound coin from 1987 tho. Always a silver lining right.

After the XR3i had its blow dry then it was fitting the sunroof with seals and glue, love glue… not. Its not a new sunroof but new for the car. Ebay is a great place sometimes. Job done. This took 12 hours in total to do this job.
